How It Started 

Art has always been about the balance between the grounded and the ethereal. With a degree in studio art and two decades of experience at the pottery wheel, my hands have shaped thousands of pounds of clay into functional vessels. My work as a ceramicist is defined by a commitment to mid-range stoneware and wheel-thrown mechanics, creating lidded jars and mugs that turn the simple act of a morning coffee into a grounded ritual.

Through the years, my vision has extended beyond the kiln. As a professional educator, I have spent my career guiding others toward their own creative and learning breakthroughs. This passion for teaching led to the birth of The Refined Rebel, a brand built on the belief that art should be a sanctuary for everyone.

My current work explores a unique artistic intersection: Dandyism and Minimalist creations. Drawing inspiration from botanical anatomy and the elegance of the Harlem Renaissance, "The Interior Garden" a world where magical beings and works reflect the beauty of a multicultural and creative world.
